TEADAL Mobility Pilot: Federated data sharing to enhance user experience
The TEADAL Mobility pilot has explored how federated data sharing can improve public transport planning and passenger experience. Using real-time data from the National Access Point (NAP), the TEADAL mobility dashboard suggests the best departure stations and trains.
The dashboard also looks for the bus lines that can get the passenger to their train on time, having view on the stops and estimated arrival time. By clicking on a particular bus stop, one can also see expected arrival time, any delays and service ratings.
Behind the scene, the dashboard connects several data services, from station lists, bus positions and travel statistics. All data flows securely through TEADAL’s federated architecture, ensuring privacy, scalability and energy efficiency.
Watch in this video from the TEADAL project how TEADAL uses mobility data to optimize travel and travel experience. The partners behind this mobility pilot are: UITP, AMTS, Almaviva and FIT.
