TEADAL technologies enter the European Commission’s Innovation Radar

TEADAL technologies get on the EC Innovation Radar, not one but with 3 cutting-edge technology components! We are very proud to announce that the European Commission recognises 3 of its components on its Innovation Radar.

The Radar’s analysis has targeted TEADAL’s “Shared data governance mechanism for trustworthy data sharing via federating data-lakes”, “Energy-aware data management framework for environmental repercussions of data-related activities” and “Core control plane for managing and controlling data processing in stretched data lakes” – The features were both recognised as “key innovations” and placed under the Radar’s “Exploring” market maturity category, which gathers solutions in early phases of technological readiness, but already showing high commitment levels from the organisations developing them.

The innovations’ specific market maturity rating and partners involved

All 3 of these tools are listed under the “exploring” category of the market maturity criteria of the Radar, meaning that these are innovations that are actively exploring value creation opportunities. These innovations were assessed by the JRC’s Market Creation Potential indicator framework as addressing the needs of existing markets and existing customers. More information on their categorisation can be found here.

About Innovation radar

For those who might not know about the Innovation Radar platform: the Innovation Radar platform builds on the information and data gathered by independent experts involved in reviewing ongoing research and innovation projects funded by the European Commission. These experts also provide an independent view regarding the innovations in the projects and their market potential (more information about the Innovation Radar methodology is available here).

The aim is to make information about EU-funded innovations from high-quality projects visible and accessible to the public via the platform. This shows citizens the many excellent technological and scientific advances being delivered by researchers and innovators around Europe, funded on their behalf by the European Commission. This initiative has the support of EU Members States and, to date, Ministers from 23 countries have signed the Innovation Radar declaration confirming their support for this initiative.
